Cara Gee
Kara Gee (born July 18, 1983) is a Canadian film, television and stage actress. Known for her roles in the television series “Strange Empire” and “Space”.
Career
Guy is best known as a theater actress in Toronto, Ontario, where she starred in Margaret Atwood’s Penelopiade, Daniel McIvor’s Arigato Tokyo, Thomson Highway’s The Rez Sisters, Cliff Cardinal’s Stitch, 36 Little Pieces of Hopeless Girls by Birdtown and Swanville, and Louise Dupree’s Tout comme elle.
She made her feature film debut in Empire of Mud, for which she was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award.
She also received the Special Jury Prize at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival for this role, as well as the Best Actress award at the American Indian Film Festival. In 2013, at the TIFF, Gee was named one of the festival’s annual Rising Stars.
Guy has also worked in television, playing guest roles on the television series The King and Republic of Doyle. In 2014, she co-starred in the western drama series Strange Empire on CBC Television, which ran for one season and was canceled in 2015.
Since 2016, Ji has been starring in the 33-episode web series “Inhuman Condition”, which airs on the KindaTV YouTube channel. Since 2017, she has been playing the role of Kamina Drummer in the Syfy/Amazon TV series “The Expanse”.
Personal life
Guy – Ojibwe. She was born in Calgary, Alberta and raised in Aurora, Ontario. She married Richard de Klerk in 2019. During the filming of the fifth season of The Expanse, Guy was eight months pregnant.

Awards and nominations
For her role in Empire of Mud, Guy received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Actress at the 2nd Canadian Screen Awards. She also received the Special Jury Prize at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival for this role, as well as the Best Actress award at the American Indian Film Festival.
